MARK ALDRIDGE APPOINTED AS DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING AT MONTAGE BEVERLY HILLS

Todd Orlich, General Manager of Montage Beverly Hills, has announced the appointment of Mark Aldridge as the new Director of Sales and Marketing. Aldridge, who has also been named to the hotel’s Executive Committee, brings with him a performance-driven sales history and 16 years of international hotel experience. As Director of Sales and Marketing for the acclaimed hotel, Aldridge provides strategic leadership for all sales, marketing, revenue management, e-commerce and public relations activities. In addition to his work at the hotel and the executive level, Aldridge will connect with the community by taking an active role in local Beverly Hills organizations along with the brand’s Hearts of Montage associate volunteer program.

“The addition of Mark Aldridge, a seasoned veteran with a global vision, to our talented team of hospitality professionals will help us continue to inspire excellence among our staff,” said Orlich. “His leadership and creativity will assure that Montage Beverly Hills continues to be among Los Angeles’ premier destinations.”

Aldridge joins the property from The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, where he served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the past two years. Under his leadership, the property scored record-breaking financial results. He also oversaw the repositioning of the hotel through a transformative renovation. Aldridge held the same role for two years at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver, with comparable record-breaking financial and market share results. He was twice honored during his time with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company: as Sales Leader of the Year, Western USA and for Marketing Achievement, Western USA in 2012 and 2014, respectively.

Previously, Aldridge was Opening Director of Sales & Marketing with The Waikiki EDITION in Honolulu, overseeing the global launch of the new EDITION hotel brand in partnership with boutique hotelier Ian Schrager and Marriott International. Additional roles in Aldridge’s professional history include Director of Sales and Marketing at London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square along with leadership positions at the Marriott International London Sales Office and the Renaissance Sydney Hotel. During his residency in London, he was an integral leader in the community serving on the board for SITE Great Britain and as a member of the British Museum Society.

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Aldridge earned a Bachelor of Business degree in Hospitality Management from William Blue International Hotel Management School. Having lived in many places around the world, Aldridge further developed his inherent passion for food and wine while working with revered culinary masters including Chef Gordon Ramsay and Iron Chef’s Masaharu Morimoto. PATRICE MARTINEAU NAMED EXECUTIVE CHEF AT MONTAGE BEVERLY HILLS

Award-winning chef Patrice Martineau has been named Executive Chef at Montage Beverly Hills, and assumed his role in early May. In his new position, the French-born Martineau is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the culinary operations of Montage Beverly Hills’ Rooftop Grill, Parq Bar, £10, In-Room Dining, as well as catering and conference services. Chef Martineau draws inspiration from the wealth of seasonal produce readily available in Southern California. In collaboration with local farms and foragers, he sources both exotic and native ingredients to create unique flavors exclusively for the discerning guests at Montage Beverly Hills. Martineau also frequents local farmers markets to ensure fresh, seasonal ingredients are consistently incorporated into every dish.

Martineau was classically trained in some of France’s most acclaimed restaurants. He began his career in his hometown of Champagne, France at two legendary restaurants, Le Chateaubriand and Le Valentino. Chef Martineau later moved to Burgundy as Chef de Partie at the region’s world-renowned two Michelin Star Abbaye de Saint Michel and three Michelin Star La Côte Saint-Jacques.

Chef Martineau later moved to New York and served as Chef de Cuisine at Daniel Boulud’s iconic New York eatery, Daniel. He acted as Boulud’s second-in-command at Daniel for 6 years amidst Manhattan’s highly competitive and robust culinary landscape. Martineau was then tapped to assume the role of Executive Chef at London’s Savoy Hotel, before joining the pre-opening team as Chef de Cuisine at The Peninsula Tokyo’s Peter Restaurant. Most recently, Chef Martineau served as Executive Chef at the Belmond El Encanto Hotel and the Viceroy Palm Springs.

This January, award-winning chef and restaurateur Scott Conant is pleased to announce the addition of Alessandro “Alex” Stratta as Executive Chef of Scarpetta Beverly Hills by Scott Conant, located in the heart of the golden triangle at Montage Beverly Hills. Montage Beverly Hills today announced that George Nickels has been appointed to the role of Director of Catering and Conference Services. In this role, he will oversee all catering, conference services, and weddings.

Prior to joining Montage Hotels & Resorts, Ms. Tepper was with Four Seasons for 12 years and successfully opened six spas throughout the Americas. Most recently, she was the Spa Director at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire, and served as Senior Spa Director of the Americas overseeing eight spas for the company throughout the U.S. as well as spa operations in Australia and Costa Rica. She began her hotel career at the Peninsula Beverly Hills where she worked for 12 years overseeing spa programming.

Allyn joins the hotel from the famous Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas, where he enhanced wine programs at multiple restaurants including Circo, Le Cirque, and Sensi. Prior to that, Allyn held positions at several award-winning restaurants, working with some of the most revered Sommeliers in the business. Career highlights include earning the prestigious title of Master Sommelier (becoming the 60th American to do so); successfully opening Charlie Palmer’s Aureole Restaurant at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas; and launching his own consulting business, Wineworks Consulting Services, where he helps to build restaurant beverage programs, locate rare wines, and manage wine cellars for private collectors. Allyn accepted his first Sommelier position at the age of 25 at the Salish Lodge Inn in Snoqualmie Falls, Washington.

New Menu Features Lineup of Brunch Favorites with an Italian Twist
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. – (April 19, 2011) While chef/owner and TV personality Scott
Conant is best known his modern Italian cuisine, on Sunday, April 17, 2011, he opened his kitchen doors for brunch in Beverly Hills.

Scarpetta’s first-ever brunch buffet launches at the restaurant’s Beverly Hills location just in time for Easter Sunday. The interactive guest experience will feature food stations including a crudo and shellfish station, cured meats, a pasta station, an egg station, waffles & pancakes from the griddle, a carving station and a fruit station, all taking place within a beautiful kitchen setting.

Conant’s signature dishes will also be available, including Spaghetti with tomato and basil, Buffala Ricotta Raviolini and Yellowtail Tuna Susci. Additional favorites include an array of mouthwatering brunch classics such as Eggs Any Style, Chef’s Vegetable Frittata, Citrus Cured Salmon, and an assortment of Italian meats and cheeses from The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills.

Complementing the savory menu is an extraordinary dessert presentation, including assorted pastries and chocolates, by award-winning Executive Pastry Chef and Food Network’s most-winning champion, Richard Ruskell.

Guests have the option of dining indoor or outside overlooking the lush Beverly Canon Gardens.
