Altis Belém Hotel & Spa won the 2012 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence in the category Most Excellent Hotel for Interior Design.
Altis Belém Hotel & Spa won the 2012 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence in the category Most Excellent Hotel for Interior Design. The winners were announced at the Annual Awards Dinner held at The May Fair Hotel in London.
The Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence were created to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence in hotels and spas and are a trusted mark of quality recognized by consumers and travel professionals alike.
The 2012 Annual Awards for Excellence have been determined by the combined results of online voting, guest survey reports, inspector feedback and Condé Nast senior executives. This year in the Interior Design category were also nominated three other hotels: Hotel Bagués (Spain), CERVO Mountain Boutique Resort (Switzerland) e Sacred House (Turkey).
The Architecture project of Altis Belém Hotel & Spa is signed by the renowned Portuguese architect Manuel Salgado and the interior design by the no less famous architects’ pair Margarida Grácio Nunes and Fernando Sanches Salvador.
As the surrounding area is full of the landmarks of the Portuguese achievements in the XV and XVI Century, the Hotel is all about the Discoveries theme with a modern and design approach. All the 45 Rooms and 5 suites have a wall representing all the territories in the world that the Portuguese explored.
