ME London is now Open!, ME London is superbly located on the Strand on the southern tip of Covent Garden, just a few moments from the River Thames and Trafalgar Square. Designed by Foster + Partners founded by Lord Norman Foster its in the company of some of the City’s best art galleries, museums, restaurants, bars, shopping and nightlife. The hotel itself is steeped in history having been the former site of Marconi House, Gaiety Theatre and The Strand Music Hall.
ME by Melia, a personality-led brand that focuses on each individual guest, brings a new experience to one of the leading global capitals of culture and cool. Arriving guests pass through the Marconi lounge and ascend to a dedicated hotel lobby and champagne bar on the first floor, housed within a dramatic nine-storey high pyramid clad entirely in white marble. On the top floor, the hotel’s roof top bar offers indoor and outdoor space which can only be described as an urban oasis with spectacular views of the London skyline and River Thames.
Further guest facilities are located beneath the central atrium at lower ground level and include versatile event space for 10-300 persons and a gym.
