NIZUC Resort & Spa’s Executive Chef, Sylvain Desbois is native to the French region of de Bretagne, although his profession has allowed him to live in different parts of the world, in recent years has done so in Mexico. Desbois graduated from the University de Sainte-Anne, School of Tourism of France. He reaffirmed that his path was to continue in the world of good kitchen when he worked with the renowned 3 Michelin Stars chef Bernard Loiseau. With more than 15 years in the gastronomic and hotel world, his professional career integrates experience in France, in restaurants like "Epicure" at the Hotel Le Bristol in Paris with Eric Frechon and "La Cote D'Or "with Bernard Loiseau. In Mexico, he led the Le Basilic Restaurant at Fiesta America Grand Coral Beach in Cancun, in St Regis Punta Mita and St Regis Mexico City as Executive Chef, where he highlights the opening of the French restaurant "La Table Krug". With a solid base in traditional French cuisine, Chef Sylvain is always exploring and acquiring knowledge in terms of techniques, ingredients and trends. During his creative process, he likes to dare with combinations that may surprise, but are always well harmonized, and respecting the value that each ingredient contributes. He enjoys being able to develop his gastronomic creativity in NIZUC Resort in Spa, while leading a team of young and talented Chefs who share their passion for cooking, and providing unforgettable experiences to all of those who visit their restaurants and try their creation.

NIZUC Resort & Spa (www.nizuc.com), the flagship property of Brisas Group’s elite luxury resort line, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jaime Jaramillo as Managing Director, since July 1, 2016. Jaramillo oversees that all departments at the resort are operating at the utmost level of luxury that NIZUC has become known for, including the award winning Spa by ESPA, six world class restaurants on property and the conference and events center.
Jaime Jaramillo has more than 25 years of experience in the tourism industry working for various internationally renowned hotels throughout California, Bermuda and Mexico. Jaramillo began his career in Bermuda, then honing his luxury hospitality expertise long-term with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts at its properties in Santa Barbara, Aviara in San Diego, and Mexico City. From there and for the next 13 years, Jaramillo moved on to top level corporate positions with Quinta Real Hotels & Resorts throughout Mexico.
In 2010, Jaramillo joined Brisas Group in Mexico City at Galeria Plaza Reforma. With much success in Mexico’s capital, Jaramillo moved on to General Manager positions at Las Hadas Golf Resort & Marina in Manzanillo and then to the award-winning Las Brisas Acapulco, the first and flagship property of Brisas Group.
