OJAI, CALIF. (June 23, 2015) – This summer, the storied Southern California resort, Ojai Valley Inn & Spa unveils a luxury outdoor adult oasis with the opening of Indigo Pool & Bar, a chic yet tranquil area that will serve as a popular gathering spot for guests seeking relaxation beneath the famous California sun. The Indigo Pool will also host the first-ever, poolside sunglass concierge and pop up retailer of luxury eyewear brand Oliver Peoples, through an exclusive partnership that can only be found at the Inn. The introduction of the distinctive new pool and sunglass partnership are the latest enhancements designed to bridge the Inn’s famed historic legacy while continuing to meet the desires of the discerning modern traveler.

Together, Oliver Peoples and Ojai Valley Inn & Spa – two brands with Southern California roots and a focus on luxury and exceptional service standards – have created this premiere poolside program, found only at the Indigo Pool, where discerning guests will be attended to by a sunglass concierge, dedicated to cleaning, tightening and caring for guests most popular summertime accessory, on a complimentary basis. All resort visitors will be able to shop at a poolside pop-up, showcasing a curated selection of men’s and women’s Oliver Peoples and Oliver Peoples WEST frames. The service will launch July 2015.

“At the heart of our vision for the ‘new Ojai’ is our desire to elevate the guest experience, adding contemporary touches while remembering the historic character and integrity of this treasured destination,” said Ojai Valley Inn & Spa’s Marketing Director, Chris Kandziora. “Oliver Peoples shares our passion for distinctive products, the highest of standards, and the inspirational Southern California lifestyle.”

Indigo Pool & Bar brings together contemporary sophistication with the scenic beauty of the Ojai Valley. In a gentle nod to the name Indigo, the outdoor oasis is rich with azure hues found in the striped pillows, large umbrellas, the sparkling pool and Jacuzzi and the clear, cloudless sky. Timelessly elegant furnishing by Janus et Cie, the celebrated leader in luxury outdoor design, outfit the pool environment including 10 stylish cabanas featuring custom-designed canopy beds and double chaise lounges with crisp white fabric panels that can be fully opened or drawn for privacy. A spacious VIP cabana can accommodate larger groups in style with a retractable roof, custom lighting and luxurious furnishings. Guests who reserve the VIP cabana for full-day use on Saturdays will receive two pairs of Oliver Peoples sunglasses from the Indigo Pool collection, in addition to cool beverages, fresh fruit and a rotating variety of thoughtful amenities.
