The Wort Hotel RecievesTwo Prestigious Awards
Posted January 1, 2014
The Wort Hotel has received two very prestigious awards in the last few months; "Best Small Historic Hotel in America" from the Historic Hotels of America National Program and the 2014 Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Award.

Forbes Travel Guide recently announced its Global Star Ratings of the world's finest hotels, restaurants and spas. Only properties that meet their hospitality standards - the most stringent in the industry - achieve a Five Star, Four Star or recommended rating. Professional inspectors anonymously visit each property, evaluating more than 500 criteria to determine a Star Rating that takes the guess work out of travel planning and establishes a global benchmark for luxury travel.

Historic Hotels of America was founded in 1989 as a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and identifies quality hotels that have faithfully maintained their historic integrity, architecture and ambiance. Each year, awards are given to honor, encourage, and recognize the most exemplary historic hotels, hoteliers, and leadership practices. The Historic Hotels of America Hotel of the Year Award is the highest honor awarded. The Best Historic Hotel awards are given to historic hotels demonstrating the highest contribution to furthering the celebration of history and demonstrating leadership and innovation in one of four categories ranging from under 75 to 400 guest rooms.
